Steven kicked my a** again this morning. I went to the am aerobics class and thought the other trainer would be teaching it as she done them all so far. Surprise! Mr. Drill Sergeant was roarin’ and ready to wake us up and get our bodies working. He could so be my Biggest Loser Personal Trainer. I like Jillian and Bob, but this guy is right up there too. I am going to have to look for someone when I get home…I need someone…a personal trainer, that is…
Today was the Susan G Komen On Deck for the Cure 5K. So, the little girl and I even participated in a 5K while on vacay.
Upon sign up, they asked if there was anyone who we wanted to walk in honor of and of course, we chose to honor my Aunt Laura who tragically lost her life to breast cancer. There were rules: ie: no running. PAAAHHHLLLEEEZZZ! Well, we were on a boat, that was rocking with a very clean deck. I’m sure it was a safety thing. So, my girl and I start out and of course, we were speed walking and quickly become the front runners. Then, this lady whose inseam was probably 34 came up upon us and took the lead. She remained about half a ship ahead of us for the most of the 13 laps. Until, the last lap…. I gave the girl the go ahead to run the side of the ship that didn’t have any “officials” on it. And wouldn’t you know…that little one snuck up on her and passed her on the homestretch and therefore WON THE 5K!!! No grand prize, except the honor of knowing that this was a race she took 1st place in! And here's the winner's smile...
The watercolor instructor raved about the oil painting of cherubs in the Dining Room and said it was one of the most beautiful paintings she has ever seen. So, I had to go check it out…
Today was a special day for my little girl. I indulged in a full body massage at the spa and had intended for the little one to experience something at the spa as well. Well, the rules are “No one under 16 in the spa,” so needless to say, no massage for her. So, instead we decided to hook her up with her first manicure. Wow! What a little princess.
While she was doing that. I had my hair washed and styled because I was quite oily after the massage and the nape of my neck hairs were greased up. I didn’t want to take a shower because I wanted all that oil to soak into that sun drenched skin of mine. While the hairdresser was styling my hair, she went on and on about how she would love to cut my hair THIS way and style it THIS way and THAT. Well, she suckered me into making an appointment with her for tomorrow for a new do. It’s only hair…and her cute and perky South African accent and bubbly personality sucked me in…
